Something for the living...

little white packets of energy
sparks filled with immense joy
following a path, all the way
even copper seems better than gold

enclosed for safety in the blackness
the weather cannot come in its way
what do you mean by a volt or two
the currents tango rules the day

it travels around the world while i simply
sit here looking on at screens infront of me
faster than the wind i see
two five six broadband internet mine be!

mu hu ha ha ha ha !!!

Hey this word verification thing is useful. How'd you get it?

Hey...how can I get an account at ststephens.edu? My old one must have expired.

(I want it to use facebook.com)

hey

for word verification goto your dashboard->[Blog]->settings->comments->6th option

your ststephens.edu account is still active.. in any case, i changed your password, but it seems like one of two things.. 1. e-mail service to all has been stopped (unlikely) 2. the server is just too busy..

would mail u your new password, but i dont know your email address

and I'll take a look at facebook..
although its getting a little complicated right now.. I have some stuff ready, which I will be putting up by the weekend (hopefully)

would it be possible for you guys to shift blogs? or atleast post new ones on that site?

Hey chandna... Dude, my home connection sucks like... ahem.. sucks... and i am not getting time to breath at work these days... i barely manage to smoke in fact... so can't write anything long here...

What is it that you are making? A website? a blog? I have a few ideas, will mauil them to you asap...

Isn't there something called mirroring? maity did that with his whole blog.

Anonymous said...

well.. I could mirror your sites, but then you wouldnt really login to my site would you.. hehe..

Yohan said...

No...mirror it so our backlogs are with us...and then we'll use your site (as long as you have classy, simple templates).

Won't you need lots of storage capacity? Where will you host?

Fill us mere mortals in on the intricacies of creating a website.

If you combine aspects of orkut, blogger, browser chat etc into one website, it'll be a smash hit!

see, mirroring for backlogs is damn simple - but i will either need access to your blogger accounts or you will have to follow a set of instructions...

i can mirror your posts easily, but the problem is with the comments.. [i could even forward people from the articles to this website for comments.. but that isnt exactly possible in a dynamic website.. I'll have to customise it separately for your specific blogs.. hope u're getting what I'm trying to say.. ]

anyways.. text-files dont take up too much space.. my whole blog with 60 posts is probably less than half a megabyte (excluding pictures)

hmm.. hopefully people will keep considering themselves as mere mortals and not realise how easy it is to make a website!
the trick is in marketing it and getting people to use it... I'd need around 10,000 people a day to see the site for an income of 10grand a month.[and the income is not linear]. and thats if more than 70% are not from south east asia..

now for the part I'm having trouble with..

I am able to get a lot of features together.. its the friend network thats bothering me... am still trying to get it to work properly.. should be able to put up something in a while..

Another feature I like is the "I'm, listening to this right now" thing, which has a picture of a muscian or album cover.

Anonymous said...

the features are totally possible.. but someone will have to feed in the pictures or album covers, etc..

a standard pic can be generated.. but anything specific will have to be uploaded..

No hassle. And emoticons will be very useful too!

I'm told the trick to a successful site is a good aethetic...so we need some good ol' Stephanian class. Nothing too gaudy okay! Understated.

Once it gets kicking I can invite tonnes of IITians to join up.

thanks for ALL the input.. the site is almost ready.. and I was wondering if I could [come up with a marketing plan] and share it with you..

see, I dont want to start the site with ALL the features.. I want to hold back some and bring them up slowly..
[or is that a bad plan?]

[I should have parts of the site up by tomorrow morning.. u can sign in and then we could coordinate from there!]

Yohan said...

What FUNNNNN!

And yes...introduce things slowly, by all means. I'll give you whatever creative inputs I can.

Hey I signed up and all...looks good. We need a name and a logo right? Or is the drip-face your logo? That's nice.

A gibberish name would sound good. Like Boink. Or how about Arbits. Ask Tawaks, Maity, and even Madhu for suggestions.
